My Motorhome is going in for repairs next week for work relating to damp ingress. To give the repairers a start i'm using a Desiccant Dehumidifier ELA DD822 on the drying process.
Iv'e got 2 Sealed Elecsoll 100ah leisure batteries at the rear of vehicle. I heard a suggestion that a dehumidifier COULD draw off the battery water.
As there is no provision for topping up, if the worst happened & a method was made to do so, out of the window would go any guarantee ( for what i'm hearing it's worth) Having only bought them in April 2011. I want to avoid that. I'm sure that when a vehicle goes in for work to be done the dehumidifiers are let loose anyway. Im trying to avoid overkill myself, i'm in the dark as to what time length to use it for, how do you know when to stop. Any one any ideas, or come across this.
