Camping sauvage en France

Well the sun is finally shinning here in Devon....Whoopie:cool: Which means we have begun to think about our summer camping trip to France. Now we have been for the past few years (last year was our honeymoon) ;) and explored a few areas like the Atlantic Coast (surf is a must for me man) we went inland to the Dordogne region last year. We want to head for pastures new and wandered if you have any good suggestions. We are active and like cycling, walking and water oh and sunshine. We want beautiful scenery and rustic France, so if you have any little gems you'd like to share we would be most grateful.

Thanks in anticipation
Tanya and Ian

P.S We have an Aires de Camping book:D

Hey, The limousin region in france is ab fab, real rustic french charm and beautiful lakes, it gets really warm in the summer and you can enjoy the gorgeous rolling hills and rugged little back lanes, some friends of the family have a place near uzerche so this is what I am basing my knowledge on! Not sure about the aires in the area, but as you said your well equipt to look into that!

the family friend in question's son plays for uzerche fc dontcha kno!!(sorry had to through that in!)

Hey Thanks for this! Lovely photos...... can't wait to go again.
