Campervan stolen in Belgium

Flanders

Guest
Hello there,

because of my daughter living here in Scotland and we're coming quite often to your country, I registered to your forum.
So this is my first posting here and I want to help a friend.
I want to apologyse for any mistakes in my English.

The campervan of the daugter of my friend has been stolen yesterday.

It was parked near Antwerp

It concerns quite an old white Mitsubishi L300 with high roof.

Belgian licenceplate: VAF-980 .

If you ever would see this campervan, please, contact the owner lievejosss@gmail.com

Or you may contact me.

Thank you for looking out.

I just received a link of my friend where you can see a picture of the van:

By the way, I'am an administrator on a Flemish Belgium forum about Motorhomes:

Hi Flanders

Welcome to the site and very sorry to hear about the van. I cannot get your photo link to work which would help a lot plus anything unusual about the the van. Not sure how much help we can be but at least three dealerships have been involved with the site recently so who knows and good luck.

Hallo Tbear,

thank you to indicating that the link was'nt working. I hope he'll do it now.

Stolen campers/motorhomes/vehicles

Welcome to this site,i hope your posting will retrieve the camper and catch the culprits,It's also a very good idea....for motorhomers, camping sites, internet sites interact especially with other countries to ' look out ' for these vehicles and 'parts'.
I would like to add, that of late, there is a large migrant population being 'sent home' from adjoining countries, back towards Romania,i'm not suggesting that this has anything to do with the theft as it could be kids, local thieves etc but it's worth taking into consideration.

So sorry to hear about the van - lets hope it is found. Welcome to the site and all it has to offer.

More eyes out there looking the better.

Really sorry to hear of things like this - most upsetting for the owners. Oh an WELCOME by the way.

Hi Flanders, I am often in your part of the world as I have a lady friend that lives in Deurne near Hasselt. I will certainly be keeping my eye open for you.
Is your site available in english? It looks very good.

 gd abend! Hi gd a sorry about your friends van-most unusual in Belge as U will know ....
Regarding suggestions of possible thieves which another member didn't want to say -well I'll say it for him: Roma are a bleedin' plague-I went home to recently to too tolerant Belfast( yes-where we used to kill andgoodly ortion but a main each other daily...) and nearly tripped over Roma of all sexes and ages on every street corner and anywhere else they could squat and beg.....
Most were well fed, plump crones but the rest were obviously fit o work yet still begging tho' obviously able bodied, and surely fit enough to work in the fields or wherever in the Balkans!
Who needs this? Not me: it galls me knowing full well all of these lifestyle spongers are getting what little state aid there is at the expensIe of many of our own who need help but get little! I earned what little pension i have and
so I have no hesitaytion in telling the beggars (loudly) :to go home.
They are being brought here by Balkan and other Mafia.
Like Irish tinkers, there may be good among them but in general, they are a bleedin' nuisance : I give em all a wide berth and don't hesitate to tell 'em " go home-go home ....".
I doubt it will matter much but I will keep a lookout for the stolen van-funny :it's just the sort of van I've been looking out replace my old ancient needs restoration Hymer baby....1978, tax free Irish reg going better than a train, ....perfect chassis but body and 'lectrics aged and infirm like owner and needs/deserves a major rebuild but worth it-it's a classic d if I get 750no i:ll donate it to the Simon community to bed homeless men unluckier than myelf
Meantime I'm in Flanders -don't suppose I will see you van, Minjheerbut I will keep and eye out for it. Must say i'm surprised...I spend lost time Belge and find it very very safe ... I simply love your country and people and Belge hospitals saved my life this summer and I've left bikes ,motor bikes and vans and boats here and there and no one has touched them. But there is always the exception and yes-all those Roma about and others too from South Eastern Europe or N Africa or Ireland, who will steal anything anywhere- it's like this:they have nothing and nothing to lose! :rolleyes:e or up Anvers way....maybe rv sometiume. @nother nice member is Leo fromn up that way too-not heard of him in a good while tho' hope he ok!
meantime I mostly Oost Flanders Dixemuide or V eurn
