Camper UK Lincoln - Open Weekend Invitation

Hi folks,

Just thought some of you might like to know that Camper UK of Lincoln are holding a Summer Open Weekend on August 5th - 7th at their new Leisure Park Campsite.

Now if it is anything like the Open Weekend they held for Bonfire night last year, then it is bound to be a fantastic weekend and all those that attended seemed to have a really fun time. We were really impressed by the standard of the fireworks I must say and no expense was spared in providing us all with a truly magnificent display! Everyone was ‘oohing’ and ‘aahing’ as the November skies were lit up with cascades of colours, sounds and eardrum shattering explosions!

For those who attend the August Open Weekend the price will be £25 per van (No electric hook-ups) and this is the total price for the whole weekend (arriving Friday and leaving at your leisure on the Sunday.) This price is based on 2 adults with extra persons being charged at a very reasonable £5.00 each for the entire weekend and children under 14 years are completely FREE! If anyone fancies staying an extra night then this can be arranged at a cost of only £5.00 for the night.

Included in your ticket price will be the following:

Friday Night: Bingo and Casino PLUS a Chargeable Bar

Saturday Night: BBQ, Disco and Live Entertainment (All Included In Ticket Price)
PLUS Again There Will Be A Chargeable Bar Provided.

Sunday: Depart at Leisure - Latest Time 5pm

For those who fancy a walk around the Roman city of Lincoln; with its historical quarter, cobbled streets, art galleries, tea-rooms and quaint shops or perhaps you'd like to visit Lincoln’s famous Cathedral or maybe a spot of retail therapy in the city’s up and coming pedestrianised shopping centre is more your thing - then look no further ... Camper UK are kindly providing a courtesy mini bus to transport you into the centre of Lincoln on both the Saturday and Sunday between 12 - 4pm. So.... for those of you who fancy a trip into the vibrant city of Lincoln and who would perhaps enjoy glass of wine or a cold beer with their lunch then there's no need to worry about driving, just hop on the mini bus, relax and enjoy your afternoon out!

Now - If you are looking for a new motorhome or just enjoy looking around at them, then there will be a good selection of both new and used vehicles on display at this event and I understand there will be an accessories sale being held over the weekend too. If however, you do decide to buy a new or used motorhome from Camper UK then I can hand on heart say that you will not find a better dealer to buy from them these guys.

I think the weekend will be an excellent one and represents great value for money and if several members decide to attend we could perhaps turn it into a mini wildcamping members meet? Places are limited though so if you are interested ring Camper UK on 01522 697070 ASAP.

Dean of Camper UK has indicated that he would be happy to allow meets or rallies to be held on his new campsite anytime, so maybe this campsite; which is located in a lovely and tranquil setting; with its well stocked fishing lake, might be someplace where we wildcamping members could organise a future little get together to be held? I know Camper UK are in the process of building a shower block and there are plans for a licensed restaurant there too - so once this campsite is completed it will certainly become quite a popular one I’m sure!

May I please point out that I am in no way personally or financially connected with this company in any way and my only relationship is that of a very satisfied and appreciative customer who has always found Camper UK to be exemplary in every single way!

Thank you Arthur and I do hope it does create some interest as Camper UK really do look after their customers and I am only too happy to help promote this forthcoming open weekend event for them.

Pity it's not your thing though as it would have been great to meet you as you always come across as such a nice and helpful man. :D

Happy and safe travels.

Hi Sue

Just like to echo Old_Arthur. We are in France that weekend so will not attend but I am sure many will want to.
We are quick to have a go at the bad companies so I see no problem in letting people know about the ones doing a bit of good.

Arthur I am sure you aren't really an anti social 'bar steward' at all and I think we all like to get away from everyone and everything at times so you're certainly not alone on that one. Some of my most favourite times have been when we are away in our motorhome surrounded by miles of unspoilt views with not a single solitary soul in sight! Sheer bliss! :D Anyway, it would have been nice to have met you and I'm sure we'd have enjoyed your company. :)

Richard - I agree with you entirely and as you say; we do tend to hear or read a lot about people's complaints and grumbles re motorhome dealers and motorhome related services and companies but not so much in the way of praise for those dealers and companies that always go that extra mile! :D
