Camos Dome isn't Just For TV You Know

I have read a lot about the In-Motion 40cm Camos Dome; some bad, but mostly good, so good, in fact, I decided to have one fitted :)

Last year we were in Carcassonne in the south of France, a lovely place and very camper friendly. However, that part of the country is terrible for getting radio reception from the UK, in particular BBC radio 4 which I have been a fan of since my teens when I lived in London.

Now, I can get BBC, RTE [Irish radio] and other English speaking radio when we set up the satellite system, and this works a treat but is only while we're stationary. I wanted to get these radio stations when driving, and this is where the Camos comes in. Not only does it provide satellite TV on the move but also, if set up correctly, satellite radio.

Has anyone else used their Dome for this purpose?

Our system won't be installed until next week. Granted it isn't cheap but I am fortunate to be at a stage in my life where I can indulge a little:cool:

we love our satalitte system from netto it does us fine we get all the channels we need inc all the turk sat/astra 28/19 channels /hotbird/siruis 2/amos alantic /hispasat/eutel/hellasat/ so we get nearrly everything exept skysports 1/2/3 and movies

Hi Travelling Man,

We often use our Camos 40cm static Dome to listen to satellite radio.
We visited the Carcassonne area in May of this year and had no problem with satellite radio reception.:)

That is great to hear, having such confirmation only adds to our confidence that this is the right product for us. Thank you.

The weather issue was also a major factor for our opting for the Camos instead of something like the Oyster; as the Camos is enclosed in a protective dome it isn't effected by high winds.

In any case, it will be installed sometime after the weekend by the suppliers, East Coast campers in Wexford :)
