New calliper arrived for the van yesterday ,we went to fit and guess wot ? Wrong piston size, going to be later on in the week for correct one to arrive ,my son is in Ireland just nw at a truck fest and is enjoying

That's bad luck, I've (over the last year) changed all four calipers, the master cylinder & replaced all the brake pipes on my VW Sharan.
I Did the front brake pipes & front calipers yesterday.
It's taking ages to bleed the system & I've put about 4 litres of fluid through so far, yet still not got a good peddle!

Don't clamp the flexi rubber hose when you change the caliper, it can cause it to collapse inside.

I know years back when sprinters first came out you had to go to merc to get brakes bled on computer or the pedal was always long

The one plus point on mine is I don't have ABS.

If you have ABS, it's sometimes necessary to activate the ABS pump to bleed the system properly, that's why they use VCDS to do it.
Or you can sometimes do it by driving on a loose surface & brake hard enough to activate the pump, this should make the ABS unit self bleed.

I'm worried that I may have flipped the seals in the master but hey ho, on we go!

Always open bleed screws if you push pistons back As this can save seal roll over ,I’m non abs👍It was the wrong piston size that came even though I gave the two piston sizes
