I got a CADAC Safari Chef LP for £62.99 today from Go Outdoors.

They have a price match offer where they will beat the price by 10%. I found that the calorgascenter are selling it for £69.99, so with the extra 10% off £62.99.

Thank for the heads up, just sent them the info for discount.

We bought one from Towsure 3 weeks ago for a similar price + £6 postage it is a really good tool and we love it already.

If you join the 'Tent Talk Camping Group' on Facebook, you can get a further 10% off. My daughter has signed me up for this as I haven't a clue with FB!

Wish I'd known this 2 days ago I bought one of those on ebay second hand for £51, always the way

Unfortunately they will not add more discounts to this, I did try.

Picked one up from GoOutdoors today for £62.99, happy days

Cooked fish skewers the other night on the bbq part and wasn't that impressed but just did steak on the griddle for 2 minutes each side and it was out of this world served with mint potatoes in the wok and salad

It doesn't have coals does it? so how does it bbq?

It is Gas and it has a heat plate below the BBQ grill. The fat drips on the plate and produces smoke, you still get the smokey BBQ taste.

Checked today, now £60.00 at Go Outdoors.
They must have got fed up with having to price match me thinks.

May treat myself to one, hopefully as good as reviews on here and the web say.

Simply very good !
We tend to uses the cast iron griddle..Either smooth side up or "ribbed" side up.
This comes as part of the kit.
We also keep the lid on to assist with cooking.

Had mine about fifteen years now, the only thing i found was took a long time to cook in high winds when camping which we did before we bought the motorhome, my solution was open the jet up slightly with welding torch nozzle cleaning tools, no more problems for me, it just helps keep the plates a bit warmer. andy

We used the CADAC on the beach at Weston Super Mare two days ago. It was really windy but we used the van as a wind break. I like the grill and the smoky taste.

They are a good bit of kit. Had ours for several years now, used it last weekend down Swanage way. Breezy up on the hill, but it cooked no problem!

We've had ours for a few years now and it is Ok, but - it has a very inaccurate and hit or miss gas control knob, it is basically either on or off. I like Andyjanet's idea of opening up the gas jet a little bit as the flame never seems to have much punch on ours. The first accessory I bought for it was a wind break as it is pretty useless if just standing out in the open. I also put a minimum mark on the gas control knob with a felt tip pen otherwise you don't know where the lowest setting is before it goes out completely. We don't use it that often, usually only when we have to fry something like bacon or sausages, which is rarely, and we don't want the stink the inside of the camper out. We probably only use it a couple of times a year (and we are away usually about once a month) but I have cooked/roasted Christmas dinners on it 2 years running using the roasting pan accessory and the dome over the top. Once standing out in the snow in Morton-in-Marsh to do it!
