I'm searching for a cable for connecting my Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 to mirror the screen to an HD TV whilst simultaneously charging the tablet through the tablets micro HDMI port. Anyone know if a cable exists that can simultaneously achieve this?

Yes they do exist. I bought an OEM one but couldn't get it to work even though it was definitely the correct one.
I have ones for 2 other devices ( number of pins differ between devices) which both work perfectly. I still don't know why the Samsung one wouldn't.
This is what I bought, it should have worked, but I had no problem getting a refund.

Samsung Galaxy S5 / S4 / Note 4 / 3 MHL 2.0 HDTV HDMI Adapter

After my lack of success with the Samsung I gave up and went to Maplin with my old Nexus 7 to get one for that instead - they were brilliant, picked out the correct one for me and were happy for me to try it out on their TV before I bought it.

If I were to have a second attempt at getting one for the Samsung I'd take it there and get them to sort it.

I've used OTG cable on my old Nexus 7 tablet to watch stuff on flash drives but have not mirror'd from Nexus to TV!
Do I need a special cable or will an ordinary micro usb to hdmi work adequately?
TIA.
Forget request, did more research, not possible to mirror old nexus 7 2012 to TV for what I want.

Not as far as I know as the signal needs to be converted.

I bought the 5 pin version of this

Maplin MHL 2.0 11 Pin Adapter to HDMI | Maplin which was about £18 at the time.

This may be a newer version? Maplin MHL 2.0 5 Pin to HDMI Adapter | Maplin

Best to go in and get them to sort out the correct one, I think.
