On our recent Jolly to Spain and Portugal we called in at Cabarceno wild life park nr Santander it was Nov 2019 cold wet day, There is an Aire at the Wild life park free, all services, there is also parking beside a lake which we chose, next day the weather was better so we decided to go into the park, we took our van in as the park is huge and you would never get round it in one day if you wanted to see all the animals, there is also a chair lift ride that takes you all round the park and the views from that are great, it is free to ride as much as you like as part of the entrance fee,
The entrance fee was 26 euros each [out of season ] [15 euros if you go in after 2pm] but we found that was a bargain for all we saw, We were glad that we took the van in , because we could drive round and stop as and where we wanted as lots of parking near all the animal enclosures , there are so many animals to see and you can get really close to them, I took about 150 pictures but there are only a few of them on this post, We rode the chair lift round the park twice, getting on and off as we pleased, a great feature, the park is in the Mountains and flying over the rock formations in the chair lift was spectacular and well worth seeing.
The small village where the park is situated is also very good, it has a good shop and several bars and restaurants so all you need , as you walk round the Village you can see over the wild life park and see the Elephants, so a good place to visit just for a nights stopover if just passing through.
