Advice needed...
Possibly thinking of joining CC or C&CC to have options for using some camp sites at times.
Which one is better to join - what kind of things make them different?

Thanks,
Damien

took me a long time to make my choice and followed many threads on this matter, simply came down to the one which was most friendly! The c&cc.I have a mate who joined both and he said the same about c&cc.Have yet to regret my choice but i only use c/s's and hideaways if i need to use the club...Hope this may help:)

I re-joined the C&CC earlier this year (was a member back in 1988) mainly for using the THS (temporary holiday sites) just got back from one on the river Wye £6 a night. Also a member of the MCC as they have cheap weekend meets all over the country throughout the year, you can just turn up at most of them without the need to book for around £5 to £8 a night.:)

BTW forgot to say the name should say it all CC = Caravan Club i.e. not motorcaravan  We were in it around 1990 when we changed from a caravan to motorcaravan, we found that we weren't welcome on some sites, others wanted to stick you in some small out of the way plot (not suitable for a caravan) many sites you have to book months in advance. The only good thing we ever found about the caravan club was the CS places but to be honest you don't need to be in the CC to use them (think about it a farmer with a bit of land would he rather you pay him or would he turn you away because your not a member)

We're in both, I think the C&CC have a better mag' and are a bit friendlier, also if you're 55 they work out a bit cheaper. But this yr we will cut back and stay with the CC only simply because they have more CL's and everyone else we know is only in the CC so meets and booking of sites is easier.

joined both in first year, never renewed not value for money whenever tried to make bookings always full because non members are allowed.

they have gone like saga money making at every chance, site fees also the cost of on site wifi etc.

found using their ferry and insurance quotes very high too.
