Spent Sat. and Sun. night here. Woke up to a construction site outside the toilet area. It looks like I have the dubious pleasure of being the last member to overnight there.

The area will be closed for a few weeks while the work is done. Height barriers are part of the plan. It should be completed in October. I spoke to the Projects Development Officer (really nice guy) who is well aware that height barriers are not the answer and is aware that this isolated place may attract dubious groups of people. The locals complained about campers and they pay the wages of the Council.

We are now in Hunstanton, earlier than expected. :mad1:

If you'r coming through Brandon then try the Ram Hotel field round back. wackiest toilet/shower arangement I've ever seen. LOL. But if you do drop in please tell him you are with wild campers.

Moggs eye, Hunstanton, you blatant name dropper Mainwaring.

Just because some of us cannot afford to stay in these up market jet set locations there is no need to flaunt it all over the internet.

Dezi :pc:

Not strictly true that locals pay their wages, as most of council funding comes through central gov grants, only about 1/4 comes locally, so we all have a stake in it.

Or at least 3/4 of it! So they can gives us access to 3/4 of Mogs Eye and put height barriers on "their bit" if they want, LOL ;)
