Hi, Having just shifted to a BT package I now get ( according to the blurb) free wifi, Worldwide + other places.

I think, mayby, that I have seen a POI map file, showing these hotspots, to download somewhere. Any body know ?

I take it that you have set the FON up young Desmond. It is not automatically done and takes a few days to work. Have you tried it out at home?
 
Thanks for replies Gents. Fon all set up. I had seen the map but was looking for a POI download for my Garmin.

Up till now we have used the Kindle with 3g just to access emails & found an internet cafe for detailed replies.

If you have Autoroute, I host GPS datapoints for FON in France, Spain and somewhereelse I forget, and also have links to all the up to date raw data.. (edit: the links for the raw data may not work any more - just tested and got an error. Can't fix as currently in Laos)

They change all the time so only use in emergencies.
Really only easy to find if you have a simple to use long range wifi gizmo
