Nice pictures, we were there last month.

Very expensive aire at Brugge (22 euro) I think.

We stayed at Ostende aire (free) and caught the train to Brugge.

I agree, very expensive at €22, although you get all included in the price. I parked right on the road opposite the Aire, on the same side of the other Aire across the road, which is just as expensive. Had no hassle. Walk across the main road and over the wooden bridge, through the foot path towards the town. Quite a walk but full with scenery once you get into town.

Is this the aire by the marina with security barriers? next to the bus park? Was thining of staying there in dec for the market last time we were there it was 12 euros a night i think and thought that was steep!

Lovely photos! Clearly well worth a visit — though maybe not the aires!

Correct. That is the Aire by the Marina. Did you notice a large carpark attached to the Aire? Behind it is a small stream with a Restuarant boat where we had a good meal. If I had bought the barge, it would have been cheaper than the meal☺☺☺

Brugge is quite expensive. After walking our legs off, we stopped in the square and ordered 2 cups of coffee. The waiter brought a large pot of coffee, slapped a €11 bill on the table. We sat there nearly 1 1/2 hours trying to down the 5 cups coffee in the pot. My Mrs said, if we have to pay that much, she wasn't going to move till the pot was empty. Boy, didn't we both regret it afterwards. Felt sick, we skipped the evening meal and add a couple of biscuits and a cup of TEA about 22:00hrs. that night.

David and Ann yes did notice the barge but didn't visit. Shame The Marina aire is so expensive now as was a handy stopover for electric water and 5 mins from Brugge center! Have never stayed on the one across the road tho' have seen many vans there. Will see when i get there 2nd wk Dec, tho am considering Gent the only thing there people seem to favour street parking when they stay not sure about that?! But Great pics and well worth a visit! And as Jeff says train is always a great option over there when using the aires!

Jeffscarborough's option of parking at Ostende is not a bad idea and training it down to Brugge. The after thought of walking back to the train stn: and getting back to Ostende late to get to your MH is not appealing to me. Personally, I would pick a spot with no yellow lines and park up. If you stop more than a night, then move next day to another. Make sure you have emptied out before you arrive in Brugge and have enough battery power for your stay.

I stayed a couple of years ago and it was 20 euros then but it does reduce october -march ,then it was 15 euro's so i would now expect 17 euro.

I worked in Brugge for a few weeks a long time ago and it is an expensive place. No problem when you are on expenses though.

Beware of big, black, noisy midges in Summer. If you get them indoors, you will not get much sleep, especially by the canals.

Try the Trappist beers but be careful as they can be 14% alcohol content.

There are a number of Festivals in Brugge throughout the Summer months. Most of them are too highbrow for us wildcamping nougats though.

Great pics! You have inspred me to visit there soon.

We met a retired Belgian policeman at an Aire in France recently who advised that the Aire in Zeebrugge is a better bet and only 20 mins away by bus. I haven't researched that anymore yet but I think it's what we will do unless anyone has other suggestions ....

Forgot about the winter parking rates there! as we usually go over out of season France, Germany etc. The aire as mentioned has ehu water etc and the car park attendant from the coach park is multi linguist and a mine of information. I think cost depends on what you want ,we were on our way back from a trip up the Mosel and decided to stop in Brugge for a couple of nights and it ended up being 4 nights so for the security/water etc worth it for us and only 5 mins walk into the center! expensive for food etc but we use the cadac all the time! so no worries! def a place to see!
