Almost a year now we have had our motorhome which we purchased from Brownhills in Newark.
It was/is a lot of money, a small mortgage, in fact we are paying less to buy our house every month, but we thought it was now or never.
I have during the time I have been on this site read a lot of damning threads about the company and was quite frankly very worried when we had problems with our Erbespacher heating and hot water unit.
Our warranty was still valid when we took the van back to them and we were dealt with with no problems and no cost, especially as the problem came after the really cold spell last winter and the fault could have been attributed to water being left in the unit. We were parked up in the overnight area with other vans which seemed to have similar problems by the look of the wet patches underneath them!!

So, just for a change, I would like to thank Brownhills for a trouble free year of motorhoming.!!!!

I too had an equally positive experience from the old Cannock branch about 4 years ago and it is documented on here at Wildcamping somewhere.
Our fresh water pump packed up on the day that we returned to the UK with our present M/H and we called in on our way home to book it in and they changed the pump there and then.
However I have had 2 equally bad experiences. the first was the day after I put a deposit down on our van. I returned with a pair of step ladders to check out the roof and the salesman just did not want to know me as he had made his sale. Had the roof been damaged, I would have pulled out!
The second was at Newark. I was interested in looking at a new Hymer Van as I wanted to see what space they had and the sales staff just did not want to know. I later complained and I received an apology from the Sales Director. I have never been there since, however I would buy from them if the price was right!
