Brownhills Free Tickets to the NEC

Not sure how this works??
I have just received an email from Brownhills offering the chance to win free tickets for the NEC show.
All you have to do is, fill in your name and address for the chance to win.

This is the message at the top of the email;

Brownhills are giving away 20 pairs of tickets to the 2011 NEC Motorhome and Caravan show.
For your chance to win simply complete the form below. The lucky winners will be notified by telephone during the event.

Now, if by the very slightest of chances, you don't own a mobile, I know it is highly unlikely, you will have to stay at home and await the call.

If you do own a mobile, you will be awaiting for the call, AT THE EVENT, to which you have paid to get in?

Am I missing something, or do they simply refund the ticket cost?

The event goes on all week so I guess they may mean they phone you in the first couple of days and the tickets will be valid for the remainder of the the time it is on. It seems a bit of a strange way to do it. The free tickets I won at another forum were advertised and posted ages ago.

FREE????? How much are they charging for the text/call?

Loads of places give away free tickets to these events. I sometimes wonder why anyone bothers to pay!

In effect they are advertising shows, so some free tickets are justified in order to publicise the event.

The balance has shifted slightly this year with the NCC running the shows and reducing ticket prices from £12 to £5-7 in the attempt to get more people to the shows and stimulate more business for the traders.

there is always a trade in anything for free
all these personal datas are sold on to advertising agents and resold to varies companies

I thought Brownhills were regarded as the spawn of the Devil?

They are when it comes to buying a motorhome off them ;)

When it comes to free tickets, the colour of their money is just as good as anyone else's:raofl:
