A new temporary site for vehicle dwellers will open in Sea Mills tomorrow. It will offer 25 pitches, that are all safely distanced from each other. We have been doing all we can to locate people who might need support, and people arriving tomorrow will be provided with refreshments, and support to access health advice.
All the necessary facilities will be made available and they will be cleaned and disinfected every day to contain the potential spread of coronavirus. Bristol Waste will also provide appropriate waste and recycling facilities on site.
A big thank you to the Red Cross who will be providing the refreshments and health support tomorrow, and to Bristol Water for donating water for the site.
Also thanks to Vehicles for Change, who have worked with us to make sure that the opinions of the vehicle dwellers were considered.
