Hi
Being new to campervans and wild camping this site has been great value. We have just got back from 12 days in Scotland and have not had to stay in a single camp site. The freedom to roam and pick an overnight stop as we went was greatly aided by having the POI downloaded onto our GPS. The £15 subscription has paid for itself several times over just on just this one trip.
Had a few false leads with no overnight signs in some of the spots or height bariers in others but we also found a couple of new ones which I have posted.
We were tempted around Arisaig to look at a camp site for 1 night as it had a great view, but when we went down on to the site itself it was small, loads of people we there with dogs running around and shouting- we made a hasty retreat and found a layby up the road instead with an equally good view and no hastle from other people!!
We got water twice from filling stations and once from a lock on the Caledonian (after asking permission from the lock keeper). We are light users for water anyway (having lived on boats for years) and so this was no problem.
Anyway thanks to those who have put this site and the POI download together. We can't wait for out next trip (in 3 weeks) -depending on the weather we shall be aiming for the outer hebrides this time.
