If you get there early enough you can park on b&q or morrison's car park which is on the route ,one of the local charities take over the running and it costs you a few pound and you can stay the night.You can watch from your van if weather is really bad .I have been for last four years (cant make it this year) and its a great event ,make sure you go into town after for the squibbing.I used to go down on the thurs night and park on B&Q car park and stay til sat afternoon .Dont forget they close the roads fri afternoon and it does get really busy so dont leave it til the last minute.Carnival starts at 7.30 and runs until abot 11 so plenty of floats to see.
