Has anyone had the same motorhome and never needed roadside assistance ?
.

If so, how long and what mileage ?
How reliable are the various chassises ?

I wish
We have had this MH 7 years covered 50,000 but needed help twice in France.

Yes, X244, 2006 Peugeot Boxer 2.8 HDi, ALKO chassis. 77,000 miles. Never called out.

2008 boxer I have never called them (actually I did once for a puncture) out but several times I have been in a position where I could and perhaps should have called them out.

I have a very low opinion of the peugeot chassis, water hose burst twice (same hose) engine wiring completely rotted away, front brake siezed on, fuel filter cracked (cant believe that they can claim that this filter is fit for purpose)

Believe this or not, an 18 yr old Swift on a Fiat and only called for assistance twice, once for a puncture and once for a blowout.

Just remembered, called when a warning light came on but nothing amiss, just a faulty sensor.

I've only called them once in over 7 years, on the drive when my daughter and I were ready for the off and it wouldn't start. I guessed it was just the old engine battery but I figured the nice man in yellow could sort it out for me
Touch wood, no breakdowns... fingers crossed, knock on wood, if it please the motorhome gods, etc, :rolleyes2:

Two Fiats:
X244 only for 2 x puncture call outs
X250 Fuel filter split call out (Spare now carried :D)

Total of 26k miles

One callout

in 8 years....
A slow puncture..
On a campsite breakdown ins with comfort

An RAC man arrived after 45 mins...did the swap with the spare and also checked oil and other levels as per their regime.

Lots of wood handy for touching !!!

Had to call RAC out once in Portugal on our way back to UK. Had an issue with a management light.
The Portuguese driver wanted to piggyback the MH to the garage. No way. Followed him to the Peugeot garage in Evora. Cable had frayed ,60 euros to fix.
I've been with the RAC for 33 years and called them out about 5 times in that period.

Over the years that's a lot of money but you have piece of mind.
