My motorhome parked up at the moment went to it the other day brake pedal goes down to the floor.Pumps up a bit.Brake warning light on.Brake fluid level on maximum no loss.Could it be master cylinder problem?

Looks like m/cyl,some times the non return seal at end of pistons shrinks or gets dirt on the seat, either replace the seals or fit a new cylinder,my iveco did the same thing, not a big job and can be done without re bleading by doing up the pipes just slightly slack and press down on pedal to expel some flued and hold when getting some one to tighten the pipe nuts for front and rear. Could be slave cylinder which I'm not sure if it is inside the bell housing on that model?
The slave is for clutch,no connection with brakes.

Sorry Trev, I read it too quick and harked back to a clutch problem I had myself. Which was a nightmare!
Yes and the seals may swell again with some pumping but if millage high i would strip ex and if scored replace the unit.

I was confusing with a clutch problem I had it's an age thing! :giggle:

Might be worth looking for pointers / help on a ford transit forum. ( fordtansit.org )

Some big price differences for a new cylinder for a transit out there Trev!
Yes iveco were wanting over £200 but i got one in germany for £75 posted to my door.
As a rule we are shafted he in GB for car/van parts.maybe after all this prices will come down to that of europe.
