I'll soon be replacing my front and rear disks and pads.
As our motorhome has an Alco chassis on a Fiat Ducato Cab (phgv), is it likely the rear sets will be the same parts as a Ducato chassis? thanks.

Just had front disks and pads, rear disks and pads were still great so just handbrake shoes at the back. Including stripping and freeing off the handbrake balance thing at the rear mine came in at £270 using a respected mobile mechanic. Depends who you use Pud
Indeed, they manage to fleece us somehow

Rear discs and pads will be standard Fiat parts, I doubt that it will show them with a registration search though so you might have to remove them to identify the exact items

I've just had the rear discs and pads changed on my 2007 Autotrail Dakota with ALKO chassis.

I can assure you that the parts are standard Ducato parts. However note that the rear discs vary depending on the chassis cab configuration. Mine is a Maxi chassis with uprated suspension and brakes so the rear discs are larger diameter.

Your reg number will probably not suffice for parts ordering because it's a motorhome.

Use the VIN instead.

Indeed they do, I hung around in Wiltshire an extra 2 weeks waiting for an appointment slot to have my brakes done there. Getting someone who knows their stuff these days and only charges £25 per hour isn't easy, plus parts were at cost to him as well.

it was on the drove Nigel and he is usually busy but I can send his number if you want to call him?

A home diy job, pads are so simple to do, discs not to bad either.

I changed my fronts recently, (55,000k miles) just before the warning light came on, MOTer advised they were getting close. Maxi chassis, larger discs 16" wheels. Brembo pads from eurocarparts £41 set and about 1 hours work a side for me, I don't rush :). Discs themselves were well in limit of thickness and true.
The Brembos came with wear limit wires for both sides but fiat only wired in one side on mine 🤔.

Just done mine myself, thanks to Reg (RegandVal) for showing me how, 2 hours work and a full set of Bosch brake pads @ £129 + a tube of copper grease £5.95 (y)
