Currently on the aire that is now barrier controlled and I have never seen it so empty at this time of year, it’s now very pleasant, and better with spaces been defined. Just shows how many freeloaders were using it. There will be no mass exodus in the morning as there used to be.

I heard the gassing robber group got him. That’s why I am safely tucked up on a aire behind barriers. With a nice sea view.

It used to be quite funny watching the mass exodus at approx 08.30 each morning before the Police Municiple turned up to collect the fee.

The reason the French resist paying is in the main, because they perceive
paying +€8 for water and a cassette dump to be of poor value. Rich man
in his Concord doesn't like being overcharged (as he sees it) anymore than
the poor man in his rusty VW, Point of principle, not to be confused with
using the facility and leaving early to avoid payment I might add.

The French also have a slightly looser interpretation of rights and usage of
land and the ownership of, than might the Brits, or so I'm informed. That
might have a bearing on these particular issues and their attitudes to them.

We have stopped there a couple of times, but we had to leave early to catch the train. We had to get water there once (desperate) I think it cost us 4 euros. I good thing I say about that aire is the chip shop opposite. The problem is the French have spoilt us with Aires with sometimes free electric, water and drop. We used to stop at Equine Plage we were quite happy to pay 3 euros for the views but now it has gone sky high in price so we won't be going back.
It sounds like 8 euros for the night just for parking is quite expensive.
