Hi, As many of you travel through France on a regular basis you may enjoy this website.
Les Plus Beaux Villages de France. It is a list of 150 of the most beautiful villages in France. Started by Charles Ceyrac, Mayor of Collonges-la-Rouge in 1981, it aims to always maintain the villages as the original. We have visited many of them & can vouch for this. It’s only when you consider the ones that have been left out that you realise the standard here. Most have free or municipal Aires nearby.
