Booking the ferry for 2x vans

Hi all,
We are about to book the ferry to Spain for March along with my mate and his wife.
I’m just wondering what is the best way to go about booking it it to ensure that both parties get on the same ferry i.e there is space on there for both of us, or am I worrying over nothing, I have visions of booking it then when they go to book it there is no spaces left.

Provided you were both synchronised to make bookings, I would assume that a phone call to the ferry company should be able to confirm wether there is more than one space free to book on your required time and date.

Can`t see a problem if you both have the same time and date for the ferry.
