Bluetooth reversing camara

I ran one in my van fort a year or so Baz, wasn't sure if it would work but it did. One thing though it did have spells of interference, don't know what caused it and it was nearly almost in built up areas. The one I got was a cheap no name job off Amazon

Swapped back to wired camera after discovering the cable was still good.

Edit: Sorry Baz I missed the bluetooth bit, mine was wireless

Watching this as would like an app for the ipad that has a bluetooth camera

I think the idea is that the ipad would provide a screen which displays the image from the Bluetooth camera.
The Bluetooth camera is fixed to the rear of the vehicle and powered by the vehicle 12v (ignition for rear view, or reverse for reversing only feed) or rechargeable battery.

In the early days of Bluetooth it was explained to me thus
"Bluetooth does the same thing as a wire, but Bluetooth is invisible and isn't there!"

I had a autovox w7 ....

Worked well for just over a year ....then just stopped working ..

Gone back to a dual camera wired one now (just need the weather to warm up so I can fit it )

I have one of these on my car, it supports two cameras so I have one on the tailgate and one on my trailer, crystal clear with no interference
Well sucked in on price.

Just a thought, are you only wanting to use it for reversing or are you wanting to also use it as a rear view camera like I do? If as a rear view camera then battery life will be short so look for one you can power from one of the rear lights. That's what I did with wireless, not looked into Bluetooth ones but would think you can get same options

I have a wired rear view camera, not hard to fit. Has its own dedicated screen on the dash and stays on all the time I’m driving, I also leave it on when I’m parked somewhere that I feel I need to keep an eye on the back of the van where the generator is mounted as well as the cobb bbq etc. I also use linked battery powered security lights.
But none of this is necessary when wild camping etc, but at Knockhill and Spa and a few other circuits they’ll nick anything.

Has anyone tried one from inside a trailer for keeping an eye on the load.
Any battery powered CCTV camera could be used using your wifi and your phone. Conversely, you could use an old mobile phone as a camera and your other phone as a receiver. Alfred Camera is a system I have on 2 phones. You would need a power source on longer trips to stop the camera battery going flat.

Just to add I have aguri sat nav , which I like it is an all in one with with dash cam an android tablet so has Bluetooth. So could be ideal for Bluetooth rear camara . I have just sent it back to aguri uk to have a new battery fitted £40 including postage , proberbly not cheap but good to know they offer a repair service .

How do you fix the camera to your van
2 types, one has a bracket which requires 2 holes drilled & one fore the cable, or as mine just one hole with a plastic nut on inside, the cables goes through the centre, you could glue this type in place, its angled down and i can see my t ball and about 30ft behind the van, wide angle lense, my cam is above n plate high up.
