ADVICE and GUIDANCE needed from yee learned ones please.
Hi everyone - tis I again just returned from our trek around Europe last Thursday and find our Niece and husband have a 1 week newborn awaiting heart surgery - flown in from N. Ireland on Sunday for Op if he can get off the ventilator.
As we are available we will provide close comfort support to neice as the dad needs to get back to girls to prep them for school start. Wife will stay in provided hospital flat with Niece, and I will stay in MH is our thinking.
So my question to those who know the area is:
Where would you park the MH so to be in close proximity for a couple of weeks?
POIs offer a variety of CU or CR's but not knowing the lay of the land help/suggestions are requested.
Thanks

We visited Birmingham last year and stayed on a campsite on the outskirts at a CCC rally , it was near a Railway station and we used the train to get into the city each day, not much use to you I know , maybe if you spoke to the Hospital direct and explained your dilemma they could help, maybe even let you tuck your van in somewhere out of site, you never know if you don;t ask ? Good luck.

I have just looked at the Park 4 Night app and typed Birmingham in and got several places to stay from that some seemed OK to me ?

Will also investigate ********** - good idea as not an app I use. Thanks for your response. Have contacted hospital and no luck with parking on site, they have limited space and I am not immediate close family. Will tour around the midlands for a week to be on standby for assistance when required.

I know its not near.
Well avoid Coventry the city centre is a real skanky place.

Not sure how far from hospital but we have stayed at the bowling green public house was free if you use pub not cheap but perhaps due to reason you there would not feel like cooking any way

Hi,

Many years ago, about, 35, I had a three month contract to do some work here in tower street. 52.490553, -1.900251 It was a different business then.

The area was, as it is now mainly factories and very quiet at night. Its about half a mile from the hospital and at a push might do.

Good luck anyway.

I worked in Birmingham for many years, the only places I would stay are outside Birmingham!
I can recommend Somers Wood campsite. Not too far away but far enough away!

Try Dayhouse Farm fisheries. B62 0EX minimum facilities and quiet. They are a CCC CS site but I am sure they could help you. Call Jo or Andrew 07800 633645. Say footpaths Stuart recommended them!
