Birmingham City Centre - where to camp!

Hello all. :)

Now the weather is above freezing I'd like to camp overnight in Brum city centre if I can get away with it so I can enjoy the odd night out. Does anyone know where I could park that's free and near(ish) the centre where I won't get mugged/broken into/moved on?

Cheers peeps.

Birmingham is a nightmare for parking. I drive a Discovery and if the roof rack is on I have to park on the streets as I can't get on any of the car parks. Depending on your idea of a night out and what time you are likely to get back, you may be better parking near a rail station which runs relatively late trains into the city. I had a look at your profile and it looks as though you drive a VW, which is a bit easier to park than larger vans, but I certainly wouldn't entertain parking in or around the city centre at night, especially if you are on your own.
Cheers, John
