Bilbao stopover

Hi booked the ferry to Bilbao, never been here so want to explore before moving on, anyone recommend a good night stopover, were it's safe to leave the van. My mate has told me about a college or school were you can stay the night, nearby and you can use the facilities and showers and get a breakfast in the morning included in the price, I think he said it's now £10 a night, but I dammed if I can find were he is talking about. Anybody got any ideas. Cheers

That’s it - can’t do fancy things like that
through the big gates and sharp turn left into the parking area. The accommodation block to book into is at the bottom of the private road

Thanks for the reply, my van is 7.4 metre, I have actual found the place now, it is a hostel that has two motorhome sites. The address is Ctra.Basurto-Kastresana 70. 48002 Bilbao, sounds like it is complimentary parking and you can have a shower and breakfast in the Hostel for €4.50 per person. It has drinking water, shop, electrical connection, bathrooms, wastewater discharge and 24 hour security, my pal said to make sure to get on the site by the hostel as they also have another area 900 metres away that can accommodate more motorhomes, but it is further to walk in Bilbao. I have emailed them to see if I need to make reservation.

If you want to stop when returning then it is OK to stop on the port the night before

Had a confirmation email from the hostel today, its £10 now per person a night including a buffet continental breakfast and use of the hostel facilities and electric hookup or 900 metres away they have another motorhome site that is £15 per van per night.
