Bigger.. Broke down Dover !

New battery Weds. Garage didn't check alternator.

Result stuck 3hrs 7pm Friday at Dover BP garage. LV / Briytania recovered us to Sea Front for o/night wild. No probs. Sat then took us to local garage. Will be in forecourt til Monday. They have given us electric. Needs an Alternator AND another new battery. Hols cut short 4 days. P&O rebooking fees.

Garage and Brittania been brill. 1st time our local use em all the time local garage have let us down.

Sigh. Off 2 Dover castle 2moro and hopefully on evening Ferry. Rhone Alps knocked on head. I did think about packing local Brittany maps but decided need 'am, doh.

Back to Futuroscope and Puy du Fou.

Thats the snag when you've only limited time away still better for it to happen in Dover than Calais. You'll have no problem picking up a local map in any supermarket in Brittany. Enjoy what time you've got left

Was the dash charging light on ,,If you carry a cheap multimeter you could have checked it yourself .

Could turn out better than you think. If you enjoy Puy de Fou, that will be a bonus.
We're planning to go there in September, having heard that it's brilliant.

If it is your alternator you should not need another battery as it will be fine after a charge up just cos it was flat does not mean another one is needed. Where were you in Dover.

Bit of a bummer for you, but look on the bright side it is easier to sort this side of the channel.
