So, part of the success of Wildcamping and other forums and even Facebook Groups is meeting people for real.
I was lucky enough to meet up with @highlandron and today we fixed the reversing camera on Sylvia which had become waterlogged.
Could not have done this without the help of @highlandron and also got some amazing Homemade Lemon Drizzle cake to boot
Way to go.....
Gratitude.

Too kind Sir! It was a pleasure to meet you and to help in what little way I could. Thankfully the magnifying glass, "extendo" flashlight and magnet were not required, despite the ridiculously small screws. Fair winds my friend.

My friend's brother is near A9 South of Wick and he wishes us to arrive Saturday PM, so likely going to drive up to John O'Groats tomorrow and stay at the car park that's marked near the coast there. Don't suppose anyone who has read this thread has stayed at that particular spot ?

Stayed there a couple of times. There’s another one up beside light house or use the car park with the shops selling all the tack should be quiet this time of year but can get busy with coaches during the day there’s a day trip to the Orkneys from pier if you’ve never been I’d recommend it. The carpark at dunnet head lighthouse is good too its the most northerly point on British mainland nice sunsets. 👍
