I used to get some caravan in a right state when I was selling them. I used neat Flash Liquid on a sponge and then washed it off after it had soaked in.

I have tried various other stuff but return to Flash as I haven't found anything better.

I agree, I've tried some of the 'motorhome / caravan' cleaners which do work but so does flash which is much cheaper, if you have any stuborn bits then dip the sponge in washing powder and use that as a kind of scowering powder.

I tink that the defence against black marks is to ensure that you polish the van at least once a year. Just like a car it stops the grime from bonding to the surface making it easier to remove during normal washing.

Oxalic acid is poisonous so be careful with it, I have bought it from a chemist in the past to use to remove stains & black marks out of a wooden mast. I would be careful using anything I wasn't sure of on the motorhome, how would you know what effect it might have on sealants.

Oxalic Acid (COOH)2 or (H2C2O4):
1. A poisonous strongacid that occurs in various
plantsas oxalates and is used especially as a
bleachingor cleaning agent and in making dyes.
2. One of the strongestorganic acids.
3. Other chemical orcommon names include Dibasic
acid;Ethanedioic acid; Acid of sugar*.
4. Potential Hazards: TOXIC; CORROSIVE TO CONCRETE,
STEEL,WOOD OR GLASS.

I have just had my recently purchased, and rather 'green', Elddis valeted.

The guy used Autoglym traffic film remover to good effect.

I must admit I have been a long term fan of Autoglym for years.

Keeping the van clean, when fulltiming inside and out is a similar job to those chaps who paint the forth bridge !! It never stops !!.

One thing I have used for grime and it doesnt appear to have had any detriment is humble stardrops.

If you look at the label on the liquid soap for dishes (Fairy liquid etc.) it now states that it is unsuitable for washing cars.

Why, I do not know but it may now be unsuitable for M/homes as well.

Washing liquid is not good for automotive paint finishes - there is (apparently) a high salt content ...

Muc off is good for stubborn bits - the bike and caravan stuff are both the same recipe

i would check when using household products on your vans

salts
Bleaches
Amonia
Etc

Would you put fennicks in the dishwasher??????????
The right cleaner for the right job.
That's just me though :D:D

never tried this on my motorhome, but i used to own a white fibreglass motorboat ,while moored up one evening i could not help admiring the shine on the similar boat moored alongside it was like new. to cut a long story short the owner told me the secret ,no expensive polish ,it was a sloppy paste made from tilers grout . rub it on remove most with a cloth let it dry and polish the residue .i tried it on my boat and was amazed i sold the boat soon after for 6000 after three years of ownership and only paying 4200 the grout mix was about 2 quid

Another vote for Autoglym.

Their Motorhome/Caravan cleaner gets the green stuff off easily.

If you want to clean Alloy Wheels get some of the Autoglym Wheel Cleaner that they sell to valeters. It's 3 times stronger than the stuff they sell to joe public. I bought some at the Peterborough MH show this year. Just make sure you don't leave it on too long.
