Belgium - The Ardennes - Luxembourg

We leave today, Dover - Dunkirk, for around 30 days. Our destination is Belgium and The Ardennes and Luxembourg.

Anyone else in the area over the next month?

Leaving on 4th June through the tunnel. other than going to switzerland we have nothing booked.

We drove though up to Ostend, then down through Luxembourg into Switzerland, then over to Lourdes to Spain and back up the west coast of France, we're just north of bordeaux tonight, 3 weeks left.

Hello, I am sort of in that area.
If you can (and you are interested) try the Eifel national park, Germany. There is an aire, 13eu, and an amazing museum about the third reicht. Hitler actually visited. Very appropriate place considering the date.

If you are going walking in the woods or on the heaths of the Ardennes then most definitely take precautions against ticks. They are endemic in this region, both of us got Lyme disease there.

Hello, I am sort of in that area.

Visited in the Eiffel NP many years ago. I remember an observation tower and some fencing with quite disturbing 'artwork' on it - could not understand what it was trying to say.

Are Dashcams allowed in Switzerland? My Son is doing his annual motorcycle European Tour with his friends shortly and going through Switzerland en route to Italy. They all have Dashcams and I seem to remember they are not permitted. Am I right or wrong please?

I believe dash cams are fine in Switzerland.

Need to check up on if it's ok to share the footage online, though.

After one week we are in Dinant. All good apart from the weather. Max 13 degrees some days and that is without the windchill. Looking at the forecast it looks like the heavy rain of the past days is over. It's mid-May!!!

Where are you staying at Dinant? We were getting spoiled with water and electricity at the other aires we were on, and the campsite was a bit far out of town for us (and the reviews on SFS weren't great) so we didn't visit.
