Sounds good, when it says "rough camping" can they accommodate MH's?

They only call it 'rough' camping because they know Morgan is attending. :lol-049:

Here's the reply I had from the landlady, ignore the first part I was told they had closed but that was not true.

Hi Haydn
We are still very much alive and kicking and have never shut, so I do not know where your friends got that info from! Yes you can bring your motorhome to our festival, I shall book you in for Friday night 15th - Parking for tents caravans and campa vans is over in The Babington across the road from The Lion.I look forward to seeing you at the festival.RegardsDebs

I think the rough camping bit means no showers and just a portaloo.

I just emailed the pub to ask the price of camping.

Morning Haydn,
No charge for camping, I am hoping you will spend all your money on beer!!! Look forward to seeing you at some point.RegardsDebbie

Beer festivals

Hi,
If you're into Beer Festivals and free camping there's an excellent BF on Anglesey, this year its the last day of August and first day of September. Camping is free for those taking tickets for the whole weekend. The best is there is no temptation to drink and drive. You can turn up on the Friday and stay till Monday morning (the power station insist all campers are off site by noon) so it makes a nice Welsh weekend. The venue is the Wylfa Power Station Sports and Social Club, it is a nuclear site so expect to see armed police on site, don't mix it with them. It is run by the Anglesey Central Lions Club and all profits go to charity.
Anglesey Beer Festival Home/Adref will give you the lowdown.

I better declare an interest; you will be phoning me for tickets and my husband is Lions President.

If you are also into Country and Western then the following weekend is a country festival at the same venue with the same camping arrangement. This starts Thursday night and usually goes through to Sunday night, so a few days wild will give an extended and entertaining spell on Anglesey.

Great info thanks.

I'll add it to the Wales group.
Are you a member.
If you join you can add these events yourself. (It's free)

I recon Trellech would be an excellent place for a Welsh meet. do you think they would lay on a few sheep in the camping field?:lol-049::lol-049::lol-049::lol-049:

Hi,
Yes I'm a full member but didn't know there was a dedicated Wales group.

A little more about the C&W; if you've never witnessed one then be prepared for a treat, the dedicated Westerner's dress up in period, six shooters, the lot and there's a shoot out compertion by kind permission of the site police. There's line dancing for those of an athletic bent.
