Bawdsey Suffolk

Just had a nice two nights at Bawdsey. Lovely spot, Started out in the picknik area but a nice old gent advised that I should move to the quayside. That was a bit busy with traffic so pulled up on the hard shoulder beside the road just after the Picknik site entrance. I know it's on the side of the road but after 7 - 7.30 ish there was no traffic to speak of and I could step out straight onto the beach. had a great two nights there accompanioed by another van on the last night. you can also get the ferry here across to Felixstowe and the pub. Toilets across the road and down a path 50 yards, open all night and very clean. lovely walk along the salt marshes and even boat trips available

After May you will probably get "moved on" Out of season it's a good little place. Don't be tempted to use the car park that is about 1/2 mile form where you were camped 'cos it can get a bit busy with pervy doggers

that area is now patrolled by local police at night so the doggers have moved elsewhere.....I only live the other side of the river and have also spent a night here as well...the only trafic round there after 7pm is either local police or coastguard doing there daily patrol or other campers as well as a few boat watchers but most of the boat watchers go to landguard point in felixstowe.
