I have had one for a while and it is OK. You need to note that it only charges at less than 4 amps though.

Lidle charger

I connect mine when parked up at home on hook up to keep the van battery up to snuff. It does de sulphating after being initially connected and after it has done that and charged the battery it goes into 'float charge' mode . A super bit of kit and a LOT cheaper than CTECH one at £70 ish.
Mitch.

Is this ok for leaving connected for a long period then? We are off for a couple of months & I usually leave the motorbike battery connected to a charger & have one of the daughters turn it on when they check the house, the one I have is a Lidl one but it seems to turn off if left on for a long time.

The literature says nothing about switching off but it might be possible.

Aldi and Lidl both sell them from time to time and they do vary slightly to look at.

If it was plugged in to a daily or a weekly timer, that would get around the problem.
