batterys

Hi Old-Arthur

Can you get them in this country and if so how much?

They are 6v so you would need two.

Made for golf carts so should be proper deep cycle batteries.

What did you want to know?

hi richard,just bought 4 new ones at a plant sale :rolleyes:they are deep cycle and at 232ah each thought they should make a good power source for the van?we only wild camp mostly friday /monday nearly ever week end, then in the week the van is on ehu in the barn?
so seeing as i begged the batterys i can spend a few quid on something else is a battery to battery or the alternater to battery the way to go, or being on ehu in the week do i need anything else??

4 of those should keep you going for days without needing to be recharged! If your main use is just at weekends with the van on hook up the rest of the time you won't need a sophisticated 12v charging system on the van.

Hi Arthur, we did 2 weeks around France in September, we have 2- 85 amp batteries, 800watt invertor and with our 100wat solar panel we were never short of leccy.
don't do hook up anymore only at home with the cold spell with oil heater.
So your batteries should do you fine.

yea there are some real divvis about but at least this is not as potentialy damaging than the last one, that one realy needed pulling off the site .i am shure phill has got things under control i would be warey of clicking on the links

you must not have seen the two posts by new so called members ,here goes the first one we got the other day was full of porn links ,cannot remember the exact thread but looks as if phill was on the ball and deleted it pronto ,and then one on your thread yesterday
 
can't hurt to have more posters on here most members just come gleen wot they can then leave without ever postin owt :mad::rolleyes:

dont be daft, that sort of poster could have caused untold dammage to this site. not only to the reputation of the site owner, but also to the decent members on here . we are not all adults that use the site but the children of members may also veiw posts on here .we all know how to access adult sites so we dont need that sort of thing on here .also if anyone had have clicked on one of those links a virus would most probably have been activated not only on users p.c but also there is a danger of infecting the site . so as for saying any member that posts is acceptable just THINK FIRST .

You should be able to run the van without the engine on that lot:D

i was'nt being daft i was trying to make light and take the pi$$ but forgot where i was, i apologize for any upset i cause to the member's honestly ,i'll not sleep tonight now for worrying
