Battery charger question

Fitted in van is a volta 3 stage battery charger.
Research seems to suggest it will charge leisure battery on ehu and 12v.
My question is does the 12v bit mean that it acts as a split charger?

Yes it charges battery but prob only the hab one,the 12v is the supply to other things when on ehu,personely i think its daft as all runs or should of the hab battery.
A good move would be to fitt solar panels,say two at 100w each to charge engine and hab battery,then in good weather more days wilding is possable without ehu.

It depends what you mean by "split charger" as it only charges one battery.

Buy split charge I mean will alternator run charge to both van battery and hab battery.
My plan is to fit solar as well trevskoda
