Battery change procedure

I have a Peugeot Boxer based campervan, no alarm to worry about so can I just disconnect the old battery and re[place with the new one. Some have suggested long winded procedures to avoid electronic issues.
Any reassurance will be appreciated.

When I changed (removed/replaced) the battery on my 2015 Peugeot Boxer based motorhome the only things I need to do were:
a) retune the radio
b) Reset the clock
c) let the USB drive re-index itself.

Use jump leads keep it connected.

Thank you for all the responses. I have a spare battery so I think I can connect it to the jump start tags under the bonnet while changing the main battery. Would that preserve the settings on radio ,clock etc..?

If you have the code it's no big deal, and a straight in and out job, so no need to use a external battery.

I usually use a wee dashtop solar charger, just gives enoughvolts to keep the radio happy

Some wagons & cars state do not disconect battery, this is because the brain will be upset & require a retune, my car warns against this or jump starting.

It also disables my alarm Trev which is a pain to reset.

Some would say that's a good thing.

it should do, you could also use a 9v battery to do the same job.

Problem there is it must be connected first before removing main battery leads, by that time it will have exploded & may burn you, dont do this.

Battery swop completed today with my spare connected to the jump start tags in the engine compartment with jump leads.
