What is the highest AH batteries? I have 4 X 110AH batteries. I remember reading some guy had 180AH ones. Are there any rated higher? Suitable for the habitation area.

I used to have a Moll 140 amp one in a van I had, took two of us to lift it out I personally would go for a couple of batteries rather than just one of comparable size (if you have the space), reason being the large battery we had failed leaving us with hardly any power. we finished off the holiday having to use candles as the halogen lights would drain the little power it had in no time.

Think you need to the people that make golf carts but the weight of them is massive.

Try 2 x 220 Ah 6 volt batteries. Same total Ah but should perform better. Wire them up in series.

Do a Google for them.

I have 4 x Fullriver AGM 12V 260Ah in one of the rigs. About 80kg each so not really practical except for large vehicles.

hi use 2x200amp and 2x100amp in the trailer .i also have another 100amp in the truck . fed from a 24v to 12 v charger . i then run a lead to the trailer (suzy lead )that leta the engine charge theleisure batts when running. its design is that it should never drain the 24 volt system on th truck. i can disconnect the trailer from the truck . i may add another 100amp into the trailer when i get round to adding the new panels. (100amp is the standard battery for my truck . its nice to be able to carry a spare you never know when a truck main battery will go down. over the years my experiance asbeen use truck batteries as liesure batts . cheaper work ok . in fact seem to last just as long as gel or the fibre matt batts . if you live in cornwall use cornwall battery center in threemilestone . possibly the cheapest around here . cheers alan.
