Batteries not really holding charge.

Both my leisure batteries now only last about 2 days. They are now 9 years old. Is it time to replace them? My wife and I are fair weather campers, ie. April to October, so what would be the best battery to buy? Grateful for any advice. Thanks.

If you are at the end of your camping season, I would hold off until next March to replace.

You are missing out so much in winter, get out and look about, as for batteries, if not using to better weather then buy in spring.

I'd say after 9 years they probably aren't as good as a fresh set (especially as some battery tech has moved on a bit now)

Cold frosty mornings and a lot lot less folks around getting in the way.

Motorhoming in Winter is simply awful. Don't let anybody talk you into it, especially Scotland.

I only go up there in Winter just so I can report back how bad it is.

I tend to spend the great majority of the Winter in Scotland

9 years old, they owe you nothing. Get some new ones and get out in the winter.

I much prefer Scotland in winter. The scenery is spectacular, its quiet, and you are not such a burden on the more popular places as you are in summer.
We tend to look for cold dry spells then head out for two or three nights.
I love a bitter cold winters day on the hills, then a nice night in the van watching TV and DVDs.
