bala lake

went to wales at weekend had a great day at bala lake there was two areas and a big sign that said no overnight parking so we did not bother
we thought perhaps you could overnight if you drove passed the car park on to the grassed area/gravel anybody got any info would love to go again

They're pretty strict about parking (and canoe launching) - plenty of wardens patrolling the area to make your life difficult

Have stayed over night but was told to keep blinds shut as wardens were on patrol and very stick on overnighting
Saying that had no problems and a good night

We have stopped on the gravel bit at the end a few times and the wardens where fine even getting us a ticket one morning but we went back last april to find no camping signs had gone up and i think a chain or some kind of gate:( shame really as we used to go there alot and spend a few bob in town and on the railway.

we had breakfast on the side of bala lake a few months ago, but driving into the town there was a large car park with toilets (i think?) and we stayed there that night. Even had the genny running most of the evening, with no probs..

Yeah the sheep are quite pretty and if you see someone driving a landrover he isn't a Farmer, he's a pimp.

I prefer the site at the other end of the Lake railway at Llanuchllyn!
