Finally - we made it out of the house parking bay today - hooray.
Very rewarding after such a long time parked up.
13 yrs 1 month and 1 day ago we bought it, and have travelled just over 100k miles (160k km).

15mths ago we had to lay the Hobby up for some serious TLC.
A major water leak in the water pipe feeding the water pump, (weld had given way) requiring some dismantling of turbo pipes, air intakes and other dross.

In addition, after the many miles around UK, Europe, N. America, then on our return back to blighty weekly trips to Plymouth and Barnstable for work, the poor old engine needed another change of cambelt, as well as removal of some electric gremlins, and full removal of the AC pump.

Once done finally got it through an MoT to then find I had to be compliant to new medication and regular blood checks for 6 months.

Today testing it out on the way to a Stock Car motor racing event in glorious sunshine. Just parked at the Abingdon overnight parking lot on the way to Mildenhall.
Another electrical gremlin came to light - door windows do not work - grrr.

Hope to get away to Greece in a few weeks to rekindle the European adventures.
Notice a few have recently been and enjoyed themselves.
As summer in UK beckons maybe will meet other fellow members.
Good to see longstanding members still active.

Regards to all, Stan and Bernie.

Good to see you posting, Stan.

Even better to hear you’re still being an active grease monkey and that you’re back out on the road again 👍

We’ve upgraded from old pinto engines through to an old VW T4 over the last few years, so gradually and very slowly modernising… 🤔 😉🤣

Great to see your still enjoying travels.
Pinto - yes, good memories, used to race them in stock cars.
Keep having fun.

Great to hear from you Stan. Wondered where you'd been.
Hello Rob, you are a true stalwart of the community.
It's surprising how trying to juggle work, with travels and maintaining a house is so busy.
Have this year taken the 8th attempt to retire from lecturing, so releasing me to complete other tasks.
Only Thursday, replacing a barn roof that got blown off in the January storm.
Hope your enjoying life and keeping busy.
Best regards.

Thanks, hope your enjoying the travels in Ireland.
Kids must be adults now, hope all the family are well.

The prostrate is a bugger, sorry to hear that.
Worked for a year on the machines that provide the radiotherapy, seen lots of people overcome it.
Been across to see family, but chose flying as ferry costs extortionate.
May get across in the MH for a knees up in Bree, Welford in June, so a chance possibly to meet up should we go north.
Take care, regards to all the family.
