Baby passport help?

Holiday looming, baby passport sent off for (pointless idea - what is a newborn going to look like after 5 years?)

Anyway - they sent it back, with the comment:-

Dear Mrs M D.
Re - passport application for Mr I D.
"Please send us the full birth certificate for the person named above"

Yet I sent them the only one I have, and have ever had, for the sprog. As far as I know its a 'full' one - it shows my and her indoors' jobs, etc. Do they want Mrs D's birth certificate for a baby passport? Confused.

And I cocked up the picture - can anyone reccomend a quick / cheap / online "send them a pic, they print it to passport standards" service? We have good quality SLR cameras (one Nikon one Olympus, both a gazillion pixel)

i would ring em up to clarify the birth certificate query, re the photos, most photographers ( the wedding type) offer a passport taking service, with instant development. about a fiver.

I can email you a picture of our Pug when he was a puppy.

It might not be a good likeness but they will process it quickly out of sympathy for the parents. :lol-049::goodluck:

eat the baby .thats what they are for. didnt you get the instruction book complete with cooking ideas.
give them a telephone call take a pic there must be a local passport office it can be done in only a matter of days if you stay calm and take charge. tell them what you want. they do like to mess you around .its the only thrill in life they get.

most camera shops will be able to provide you with correctly formatted pictures. As for the birth certificate - contact the office of births deaths and marriages - or whatever they are called and ask them. May even be able to request a full birth certificate on-line or by phone.

No way around passport regulations, especially with the photos. Look up the specifications and comply exactly.

turns out you need the 'full' cert - its not the one they send you, you have to pay extra...

hey ho.
