had to buy a new RMD10 fridge couple of years back , while away in portugal corner cracked then broke patched up with gaffer tape & glue welded has worked well for the last year ! now fell apart can’t find the exact replacement till i get home get model no etc but at £40 for plastic that shatters when cold i have found a guy in Brecon who makes stronger replacements ? obviously a guy who can produce the moulds etc he’s away till late october anyone know another scource

I think you said you are in Scotland at the moment? There is a plastics guy in Kelso who makes display stands and the like to order. If you are around that area you could drop in on him with the part you need replicated and see if he can help? contact info here - https://www.promoplastics.net/

Simplier than what you want, but he knocked up a couple of perfect replacements in Acrylic for glass light shades for my Autotrail which were obsolete.

I also have a Dometic fridge and the hinges on the freezer compartment broke. I was appalled that these hinges are made so poor and weak. The price quoted was over 40 quid each. Think the suppliers are having a laugh but should I decide to buy another it will not be a Dometic one. Anyway I manged to repair them and been ok the last few months..

Thinking back, the very first fridge I fitted was a Waeco CRX-50 Compressor Fridge. Installed it, then when testing it I forgot to close the top cover for the little door shelf when I closed the door.
Broke it before I even used the fridge for the first time! What a dummy!! I just lived with the part repaired.
And thinking on ... the Fridge I bought for the next conversion arrived with a dent in the side, a broken salad box and a broken cover for something else! Looks like broken fridge parts is a common theme (For this one, the seller just told me to throw the fridge away and sent me a complete replacement!!)

thanks david the one above has been in contact not back of hols for a week but will expedite then since i’m still away for a fortnight will use them looks nice strong bit of kit if it is will get the upper shelf’s to match
