We are shortly going to the Ayr area are there any recommendations for must visit in Ayr and the surrounding area. :cheers:

Very nice we place,go on up to largs,couple of nice marina shops and cafes on way up that coast,hope the sun shines for you.:wave:

Heads of Ayr farm park

Heads of Ayr farm park is worth a visit.great for kidds.quad bike rides for adults.trampolines animals.zip wires.the camp site by it is worth staying on.golf course linked to the site

Troon is a nice town with a much nicer beach than Ayr plenty to do at Largs as Trevor has said you could take a day trip to Millport ferry is cheap and a ten minute crossing and there’s the Viking Exhibition in Largs but close to where you’re going to be based at Ayr is the Rabbie burns cottage and visitors centre in Alloway or there’s culzean castle just a couple of miles up road and if the weathers good there’s the outdoor pool at Gourock Gourock Pool

Seriously, avoid trying to overnight in the car park(s) on the sea front. Last time there, spoiled by boy racers rushing between the overly high speed humps with boy racer exhausts.

One of the few areas we have moved on from.
