There is a system for building office type furniture which has alloy tube profiles with plastic ends / junctions.
The tube profile is like this -

and you can slot board in the channel.
I’m thinking it’d be perfect for building the units for inside the camper conversion.

It’s not the square tube with plastic ends like this -
Square Tube Connectors - Component Force - UK
which tends to be used more for shelving.

Anybody know what it’s called ?

Thanks.

I have just used this profile to create nice waterproof shower enclosures in my home. It is simply called "External corner profile" There is an internal corner and a "H" section joining strip available too, in different finishes. see this link:

Takes a 11mm panel, but can be used with thicker panels if you rebate the back edge. I used my left over bits of external section to make a removable "U" shaped cover out of 40mm kitchen worktop for hiding the pipes under my combi boiler:dance:

I too thought it was good for motorhome interiors, my motorhome has similar section in brown woodgrain plastic but the polished aluminium would look really cool. Infact the laminate panels are damn good for creating shower walls

I purchased my panels and trims from Llandaff Laminates in Cardiff.
