Hi folks I see some of you have great avitars,have tried to find some but so far have only managed to get YAHOO'S own,which ar'nt as nice as some I see here any good FREE sites you could guide me to.

You cud always design your own SnowGoose and upload it. Mine was a free key ring from SAGA when I used them for Motorhome insurance. I scanned it in to my computer and redesigned the shape and colours etc....

Hi snowgoose, mine is from Yahoo messsenger where you can customise your own avatar. You get to choose your appearance and clothing, a backround and any accessories you want. Mine reflects my favourite hobbies of camping and cycling and wearing comfortable clothing, but there's hundreds of things to choose from.

I dont think the animated ones work on here or I am not doing it right.
 
thank you kind people, will dip my toe in the water,tho have to admit apart from being a wee bit tick I DO'NT have a scanner. Struggle with this thing as it is due to instructions being in LATIN written by some scribe called
J CAESOR. :D

If you Google 'Free Avatars' there are pages and pages of sites to choose from. These sites have hundreds of avatars for you to free download.

If you will permit one serious question,I am certain I have seen somewhere on this site a reference made about disabled drivers NOT paying VAT on repairs, if I am right & not dreaming, can anybody advise me were I can get further info,have tried Customs & excise with no joy
I promise I wo'nt ask anymore questions fer at least another 2 week,after my suspenders have been repaired & I come back from Scotland.:)

not sure about this one but i would think if it is the case it would only be allowed on modified vehicles, try looking on the www.direct-gov.uk website the info may be on there.:D it is here http://www.direct.gov.uk/en/DisabledPeople/MotoringAndTransport/Yourvehicleandlicence/DG_10028000

Anyone who is on the higher rate of DLA does not pay VAT on any new vehicle, whether it be car, motorhome, or motorcycle.
But i've not heard of getting repairs or servicing VAT free.
 
Can anyone tell me whats wrong as i dont seem to be able to use an animated avatar on this forum, keeps coming up invalid file.

might be too big a file size mines working ok, just put it on like others. other thing it may be is incorrect file type. hope this helps you

mine is an animated gif 64 x 64 about 8kb

check out the gov.uk website it woould appear it is possible:)

Hi folks. Another one on avitars. Why cant I used one of my digital pics from my computer? It says I must reduce the size of the file to 100 x100
How do I do that? Help!

in some editing software resizing is what you need to do i use mgi and reduce to the correct number of pixels don't know if this would work for animations though
