Automatic locking

Since we had our alarm fitted the cab doors will lock automatically if you unlock them remotely but don't open the doors. This in turn then starts to set the alarm.

I can't decide if this is a good feature or a bad one?? I can disable the alarm from in the vehicle but have visions of locking the keys in?

Do other vehicles lock like this? I can't remember it doing it before but maybe thats because without the alarm I wouldn't of noticed. We are a Transit base vehicle?

Any advice, we are back in the garage tomorrow so need to decide what to ask them.

Mine will lock automatically if I don't open a door. If I open any door and close it again, it won't lock. Shouldn't be able to lock keys in.

Have a spare key hidden somewhere underneath that you can get to. Hope you get it sorted

When I turn off the alarm, I have 8/10 seconds to open the door, otherwise it goes back into "locked alarm" mode. Sometimes my alarm goes off, so have to turn it off and then turn it on in lock position. Then turn off again. Have to go through the complete alarm cycle. Once you get the hang of it, it's simple.
