I have just had the go ahead from the insurance company to have my MH repaired, after weeks of searching i found someone who will make a brand new bumper for me, unlike all the other garages who just wanted to add a flat one on and take away my ladders, which would have spoilt the van, i have begged and pleaded and become somwhat of a pest with Saga and they have finally agreed, i could dance all night, i'm so happy

Great news. Hope they can get it done quickly so you can get out and about in it again.

Might even have time for a 'Sheffielders' only meet up!!

Great news jen hope to see you at scarbourgh in the not too distant future

Well done. Hope they can sort it quick now. Such a shame if they can't fix a classic van like that because of insurance nonsense!

Nothing ! Well not until she reversed it into some poor old mans car ! Then she made out he hit her !
The lengths some people will go to just to get a new bumper ?

so all she needed was new bumper or old one cut the bump out and weld in new piece or find good pannel beater mind you u want a laugh whilst in wales in 405 pug estate reverseing up a farm track across field decided to turn around and hit the only telegraph pole for a 1 mile radius dead center oh sugar . what did we do took it off it fell in two halfs a piece of 4x4 inserted wood screws through the plastic and it passed number of mots was still there when sold ,lot more solid than old bumper lol

As a suggestion, whilst the repairs are being done, get a bull bar fitted to the rear of the van.

When I bought mine it came with one already fitted - a really sturdy tubular steel affair - and it will minimise the risk of this happening again.
