Hello,

We are have been wild camping in Arran and really need to get rid of our waste water. The only campsite we can get into is for tomorrow.

Does anyone know anywhere on the Island where we can get rid of our grey water? I can't see anything on the map and id out we will make it until tomorrow.

Thanks

Faye

You could ask Auchrannie in Brodick, they’re open all year. also the campsite in Lamlash if opened indicated to us that they would allow access for a small donation to a local charity.

01770 600251 this is the phone number for Middletons Campsite in Lamlash. According to their website it opens today.

Let them.provide facilities so this doesn't need to.be an option.
Providing facilities for grey water is far more difficult than providing elsan points Kev.
Hence why up here there are loads of elsan points, but hardly any grey water facilities outside campsites.

Common sense and discretion inevitably is what’s required.
We were on a Gorgeous CL in Anglesey beautifully manicured and told to dump our grey waste into the surrounding hedge. What’s ironic is in many coastal locations grey water is simply dumped into the sea.

One hot summer the campsite asked us to put grey water on the hedges. Even better if you use a bio friendly washing up liquid.
